Education
With over 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve seen firsthand how every child learns differently and how powerful personalized education can be. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of academic levels—from K–8 Spanish and Technology, to college-level Spanish I and II, interning at a local high school, and now teaching a variety of classes at our local co-op. These diverse experiences have shaped my ability to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds, and to tailor educational strategies that meet their unique needs.
I earned my BA in Spanish with International Studies from the University of South Florida in 2003, and returned a few years later to complete a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2007. As a Florida state-certified teacher with ESOL certification, I bring both professional expertise and personal passion to the families I serve.
Homeschool
Our homeschool journey began like so many others—filled with uncertainty about the future, yet confident that the Lord would guide our steps. I’m beyond grateful for those who reminded me that homeschooling wouldn’t be easy, but that it would be worth it. They were right! I wouldn’t trade these years—or the precious time spent with my children—for anything in the world.
In addition to my classroom and homeschooling experience, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the board of a local homeschool co-op for the past four years—first as registrar, and now as president. This hands-on leadership role has deepened my understanding of the homeschooling community and given me even greater insight into the real needs of families just like yours.
As a former classroom teacher turned homeschooling parent and, eventually, mentor, I understand the joys, challenges, and unique needs that come with educating at home.

When I’m Not Working…
When I’m not homeschooling my youngest, driving around town for errands or lessons here or there, or answering emails or texts that are co-op related, you’ll probably find me spending time with my husband of over 20 years, our two boys—our oldest graduated high school in 2025 and currently in college—and our sweet Vizsla, Nala. I love spending time with extended family, game nights with friends, cooking, baking sourdough, crocheting, or (more often than not) falling asleep on the couch next to my husband while watching a movie!
It’s the simple blessings like these that remind me why I’m passionate about home education—because learning and growth do not happen just with books, but in life lived well… together.
